Vredekloof Heights Neighbourhood Watch is a program used to help reduce crime in our community. It involves getting to know your neighbours and introducing them to the concept of Neighbourhood Watch. Neighbourhood Watch is simply good neighbours working together by keeping eyes open to signs of possible crime in their area so they can help to stop it before it starts.
Neighbourhood Watches Work! Throughout the country, dramatic decreases in burglary and related offences are reported by law enforcement professionals in communities with active Watch Programs. Each Neighbourhood Watch has an area with clear boundaries, within a police area. In Brackenfell we have four Sectors which is divided into different Neighbourhood Watch areas. We being within Sector 4.
Excellent assistance from Security Companies who are part of the Vredekloof Heights Neighbourhood Watch initiative. Assistance from the Western Cape Provincial Government to wrt to issues of concern through our Community Police Forum (CPF). Neighbourhood Watch home boards for our members which act as a deterrent for criminals. A safer neighbourhood with less crime.
